Data protection
This page states which data this version of Atom actually stores, why, who can see it, and how to take it or erase it. A map point, a passport, and a card number do not enter this database.

Who stores it
The local Atom build. A legal entity, a public-launch country, and an address for official requests are not appointed yet. Records sit in this installation's database.
Where the GDPR and the DSA apply, this text does not cancel the duty to act on illegal content and on lawful requests.
What is stored
- Name, handle, email, password hash, and an optional phone number.
- Date of birth, only to check age. It is not shown on the profile.
- Language, bio, photo, cover, posts, comments, follows, marks, and blocks.
- Reports, appeals, chats, letters, and public addresses of other networks that you typed in.
- The phone time zone is saved on the account and sets the place for the system. Precise coordinates are not stored.
- A photo, a video, and a document are stored only after this system's antivirus checks them. A threat, or an unavailable antivirus, means the file is not stored. This does not promise that every future threat will be found.
What is not stored
- Passport copies and a mandatory document check.
- A card number or a payment account: this version does not charge.
- A precise location. The time zone is not a point on a map, and map permission is not requested.
- Passwords for YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and X, or their private feeds.
Why, and who sees it
The data is for sign-in, the feed, language, the age line, a call to a friend, and reading reports.
What you publish is visible on the page. The phone number, as a dial link, is visible only to a mutual friend. A letter is visible to the two people and the server. A report is visible to a person in the queue.
How long, and what you can do
Records last while the account lasts. Settings can download a JSON file without the password hash and can delete the account.
Deletion removes that account's posts, comments, chats, and letters from the working database. A separate backup archive, if the person who started the server makes one, is not promised here as its own retention period.
Who else receives it
This version has no ad network and no passport check. PayPal receives data only if you press Link PayPal: Atom stores the PayPal email and payer id, not a card number.
